I make functional stoneware and porcelain for tables, kitchens and quiet corners: pots that are meant to be used every day, and to get better with it.
Everything is thrown on the wheel in my studio by the harbour, then trimmed, decorated and fired in a gas kiln to 1280°C. Glazes are my own, mixed from raw materials and tested over dozens of firings until they break and pool the way I want.
Alongside my own collections I make small runs for restaurants and shops, take private commissions, and teach weekend throwing courses for beginners.

A range of plates, bowls and cups designed with a kitchen team for daily service: stackable, dishwasher-safe and heavy enough to sit still on a busy pass.

Large porcelain jars made in the traditional way: two bowls thrown separately and joined at the belly, leaving a soft seam that catches the light.

Narrow-necked bottles with ash glazes made from garden prunings, each firing giving a slightly different green.

A wide, low bowl for porridge and fruit, in four glazes. Made in batches of forty and sold through two independent shops.

A year of test tiles and small cups exploring local clays dug within ten miles of the studio, fired side by side with commercial bodies.

Quoted per range
Two days on the wheel for complete beginners, six people at most. Clay, firing and glazing included; your pots are posted on after the glaze firing.
